DAY 1:ÇORLU-KAVALA-JUMBO AVM-LIDL MARKET-XANTHI
After meeting at the specified points, we arrive at the İpsala (TURKISH) Kipi (GREEK) border gates via Tekirdağ, Malkara and Keşan. After customs and passport procedures, we enter Greece through the Evros region. Passing through Alexandroupoli, Komotini, Xanthi, we arrive in the city that smells of cookies in the morning, Kavala. First, after having our breakfast (extra) at the place of Anastasia, one of the exchangees from Cappadocia, and picking up our cookies, we start our Kavala city tour after a short journey. In the city tour, which extends from the old Byzantine Castle to the port, we visit historical values that should be seen, such as the castle, aqueducts, the house of Kavala-born Mehmet Ali Pasha, and the 18-domed imaret. In the city that was ruled by the Ottomans between 1387 and 1912, Ottoman architecture and works stand out at first glance. After our Kavala visit, we give free time for shopping at Jumbo Mall on the way. After buying our souvenirs and household needs, we stop by Lidl Mall. After completing our shopping program, we go to the city of XANTHI , which was built on the bank of the MESTA river and perfectly suits the slogan "the city of a thousand and one colors", which attracts thousands of people every year with its carnival. Upon arriving in the city, we will take walks in its historic streets and, for those who wish, visit the folk museum. During the free time given to you, you will have the opportunity to chat with the Western Thrace Turks who have lived here for centuries. Then we head to our hotel in Komotini. With those who wish, we join the tavern program accompanied by bouzouki sounds, sirtaki music, and unique Greek flavors. After the entertainment, we retreat to our hotel to rest... accommodation in Komotini
DAY 2: KOMOTINI - PORTOLAGOS-ALEXANDROUPOLI-ÇORLU
After breakfast at our hotel in the morning, we start our Komotini tour in front of the Komotini Clock Tower, the symbol of the city; during the Ottoman period, city life revolved around the mosque, bazaar, and clock tower, and this tower determined the daily rhythm of the people. Then, in the Old Bazaar, where we will see the old Turkish neighborhoods with their narrow streets and bay-windowed houses, we come to the 16th-century New Mosque and, after listening to our guide about the history of the Western Thrace Turks and the minority order after Lausanne, we take a coffee and karyoka break in the bazaar. After free time, we visit the Church of the Virgin Mary on Portologos Lake and take a photo break. Then we arrive in Alexandroupoli. After our city tour, we see the Lighthouse. Departing from our meeting point, we begin our return to Çorlu. We bid farewell, hoping to meet you on the next ÇORLU TRAVEL tour.
