In the morning, we arrive on the Gallipoli Peninsula. We see Kilitbahir Castle panoramically. Our first stop is Namazgah and Mecidiye Batteries. Then we begin our tour with Seyit Corporal, one of Çanakkale's renowned heroes. We receive information from our guide about Kocaseyit, who became famous and went down in history for lifting a cannon shell during the Çanakkale battles, and take a photo break. During the Battle of Çanakkale, large medical facilities were established at locations that were protected and close to water, while also providing easy transportation between the front and the rear. These centers, called Dressing Stations during the war, served as the equivalent of today's field hospitals. The Şahindere dressing station, smaller than the Soğanlıdere hospital located behind it, became an important medical center behind the southern front. The cemeteries within the boundaries of the Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park were restored according to a single architectural design as part of a general renovation. During construction, they were built near, but not directly on, the areas containing the martyrs' graves in order not to damage them. The Şahindere Dressing Station Cemetery has the same architectural features. The hometowns of the martyrs buried here were written on the forehead sections of the military caps called enveriye and arranged in the shape of a crescent. The Çanakkale Martyrs' Memorial is a symbol of the Turkish people's endurance and proof of our unity and solidarity. It is the most magnificent of the monuments symbolizing approximately 253,000 martyrs who fell in the Çanakkale battles. After our photo break here, we continue to Yahya Çavuş. Yahya Çavuş of Ezine was one of our heroes who made his mark on the war through his bravery during the landing at Ertuğrul Cove on 25 April 1915, during the Battle of Çanakkale. After visiting the cemeteries, we provide free time in Alçıtepe village for lunch. After the lunch break, we view Anzac Cove panoramically. It became famous because the Anzacs landed at this cove during the Battle of Çanakkale. We visit the 57th Regiment Cemetery, where the graves of the regiment led by M. Kemal, which defeated the enemy at Conkbayırı during the Battle of Çanakkale, are located. One of the key points of the Çanakkale battles is Conkbayırı, and one of its key names is undoubtedly Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Conkbayırı is where Atatürk was first recognized in the eyes of the Turkish nation and given to the nation. Finally, we provide free time in Bigalı Village. After the free time, we begin our return to Çorlu.
