After picking up our valued guests from the specified stops, we reach Istanbul accompanied by our breaks and refreshments. Our first stop will be the Haldun Taner Stage and the Historic Kadıköy Waterfront, which has become a symbol of Kadıköy. With a short walk, we proceed to Şekerci Cafer Erol, one of Kadıköy’s most longstanding culinary destinations. Here, we will have the opportunity to see colorful hard candies, almond pastes, and traditional sweets up close; guests who wish may do some small shopping. After taking a short break accompanied by the sweet aromas of this historic shop the Şehremaneti building, III. Mustafa Iskele Mosque, Aya Euphemia Church, Crocodile Square, Surp Takavor Armenian Church, Akmar Passage, İmge Secondhand Bookstore (antique bookseller), Antique Shops, 7th Day Protestant Church and continue with conversations held in the company of members of the Turkish-Jewish community. We continue our tour by seeing Yeldeğirmeni Art (Notre Dame Du Rosaire Church) and unique Mural-İst works hidden on the walls of buildings in the side streets. We will explore this neighborhood, which has been closely affected by gentrification, with its Jewish heritage houses and schools. Afterwards, we will take a break for lunch in the Kadıköy Bazaar. The Bull Statue and the Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center will be among our next stops. After taking photographs, we continue our walk along Bar Street. Along the way, we will see the Aya Triada Church, Köçeoğlu Hammam, French Saint Joseph High School, and Moda Mosque, after which we arrive at the Barış Manço Museum House. Here, we visit the museum house of Barış Manço, who reflected his artistic identity in the architecture of his home. With the mansions, churches, and stories that have shaped Moda’s past, we proceed to the Historic Haydarpaşa Train Station and Pier. We conclude our tour and begin our return to Çorlu. We say goodbye to our valued guests after dropping them off at the points where we picked them up, hoping to see them again on our next ÇORLU TRAVEL tour.
NOTE: This tour is entirely focused on walking and taking photographs; it is a cultural and urban walking-photography tour where you will frequently see historical monuments. Since our tour will take place in crowded areas, we recommend bringing headphones so that you can comfortably listen to our guide's explanations.
