Located on the northern slopes of Bulgaria’s Rila Mountains, Borovets is one of the country’s most popular ski resorts. Situated at approximately 1,350 meters above sea level, the resort reaches up to 2,560 meters in its ski areas. With approximately 58 km of marked ski slopes in total and runs suitable for different skill levels, it offers options for both beginners and experienced skiers.
Borovets has three main ski areas: Sitnyakovo, Yastrebets, and Markudjik. In addition to the slopes, access to the ski areas is quite easy thanks to the gondola, chairlifts, and different types of lifts. Some slopes also offer night skiing.
One of Borovets’ greatest advantages is that the ski resort is integrated with hotels and social areas. In addition to skiing, there are many options for enjoying restaurants, cafés, bars, and the winter atmosphere.
Located in the center of Borovets, Samokov Hotel is in a highly advantageous location for a ski holiday. The hotel offers a restaurant, bar, indoor swimming pool, and various leisure facilities. As part of its ski services, the hotel also provides ski and snowboard equipment rental as well as lessons from professional instructors.
The hotel’s official ski school is located directly opposite the lower station of the gondola lift.
